Avio shutting off Can't Post

Hi,
I have an Avio 3.1 OS, 64mb , 80g HD. My problem is that it keeps shutting off. I left it rendering last night to find it off when I woke up. I brought it in to my day job to give it a clean. So far it has turn off once. Right know it has been on for about 5 min, the longest it has been on. I have no access to a TV at this time to do any work with it, but will try to get one late in the day.
Could my PS be going bad? Any info would help. I'm on the credits for my last video for 2003. Need to get it done this week.

TIA,
Gilbert

Re: Avio shutting off Can't Post

Yup, it sounds like a PS problem. Easy to fix. Before doing that, though ... just check to be sure the on/off switch isn't pinched somehow (unlikely, but worth a looking at).
I've put a link here of a page copied from a forum a while back that shows the innards and the power supply. There's not really a lot to it. There was another page of pictures he posted, but I can't seem to find those anywhere. I guess they were "banned" like me. ;-)

Avio shutting off - update [In reply to] Can't Post

I has been running find now. I've viewed my video twice, done a couple illustrations for buddies and it's still up and running. Go figure. Perhaps it is heat related but can't figure out why. It's been running fine for the last year in the same room, nothing has changed.
Thanks for the info Bob.

Update [In reply to] Can't Post

Well Bob, it was my PS. One of the toloids was shorting out. I installed a 250watt PS for the time being. I need to get this Video out in two days. I pulled the wire wrapped arround the magnet half way and I'm going to repair it with Print Kote Conformal Coating. Maybe it run for another 3 years or so until I upgrade to the new Avio. Thanks again for the help.
