TRV-30 Standby Auto Shut Off By-Pass Can't Post

I have a Sony TRV-30 that I would like to use inside a water housing. Is there any way to by-pass the Auto Shut Off when the camera is on Standby for an extended time period.
My thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
Best Regards,
Mark

I don't think you can. I have tried everything and after 5 minutes it shuts down. I get around it by hitting the photo button that starts things going again without taking a photo. You have to get into the habit of doing this as you never know when a shark may just happen to appear(I've lost some nice shots due to this).
BTW, what housing do you have? I want to buy a wide-angle lens for my TRV-30 and fit it into an Ikelite housing. My previous camera TRV-17 had no problems fitting into the same housing with a Sony x0.6 wide angle attached. Any thoughts?

if you use a housing with electronic controls you wont have that problems, I have a TRV 17 with an amphibico housing and have never had that problem when the camera is connected to the housing.
If I use the camera without housing it has the same auto shut off as the TRV 30.
