Help me Problem Solve Can't Post

Just started recording with R-4 at receptions.
Works very well with bands both line-in and direct mic connections.
I use the limiter. Set it and forget it...Wonderful...

Past two gigs, however, with DJ and wireless mic, (I've used the "record out" rca to 1/4" from the mixer)
the music - fine - the wireless audio microphone is barely audible...

Why might this be the case?
What can I do to mitigate?

Best,

Whit

I would suspect the wireless receiver is putting out mic-level signal and your input on the R4 is set to line level....

Thanks, Mark!

Is the solution then to simply set the R-4 to mic level with the limiter on? Won't there still be a discrepancy in levels between the music tracks and the wireless mic?

Thanks,

Whit

As long as you don't allow the signal to clip you'll be fine. That is the beauty of the R4/R44, it to separately record the individual tracks and allow you to mix them later in post...
