Getting rid of display info Can't Post

We are trying to use our GL1's and XL1 for studio cameras for a live shoot into a switcher. Is there a way to get rid of the display info on the screen so we get a clean output?

On the GL1, in Camera Mode, go to Menu. Set "TV SCREEN" TO OFF. Outgoing signal from either Composite or S-video connedtion will not have display information.
I have a XL1s. There is a button labeled "EVF" display, which can be turned on or off. Since the XL1 is a completely different camera, I am not sure where the contorl ould be located. However, since the XL1 preceded the GL1, I am guessing the menu options would be similar to the GL1.
G5 1.8. Final Cut/QT Pro/iMovie/Still Life. GL1. XL1-s

On the remote control, press the "Data" button.

Many LANC controllers also have a Data button as well.
