Trailer for Instructional DVD ??? Can't Post

Hi,
I made a two hour instructional DV which is now available for sale online at my website and on eBay. I was thinking about making a 2 minute trailer for it to help sales from the website. I've never made a trailer nor tried to put any video online for viewing. My website just has still images. So anyway, what do yall think? It's not an action movie, it's a video on old world knifemaking techniques. You know, a how-to thing. Yall think it's worth the effort? I'm not sure how I would edit two hours down to two minutes yet. I guess I just cover the highlights. Anyone have trailer advice?

I think you can concentrate on a few shots that would make people want to see more.So what is the MOST interesting thing about it?
The big boys use them to attract people ,I think it would be worth a try.

Short, very compelling video clips can help you sell your product. I think even more important is for you to write or have written an EXCELLENT press release. Send the release with your DVD to every magazine which is read by your target market. "Knife Makers Monthly" if there is such a publication. Go visit your library and ask to speak to the Reference Librarian. Ask her or him to help you locate all the magazines that would target your market. They should all get press releases and sample videos. Don't skimp on snding free review copies to editors who can publicze your product. Free publicity is the most important aspect of promoting this product.

The press release must include your phone, mailing address, price and web site in addition to giving the editor every reason why his or her readers would like to know about your video. This is just the beginning of how you must publicize your video.

I'm writing a book about this whch should be available in 6 months or less. Let me know if you have any questions,

Oops, I deleted my post somehow.

I'd buy that book. Do you think you could take a quick look at my web page and tell me what you think?
Ive looked at so long that I doubt I can be objective about it myself. Any contructive opinions would be appreciated from anyone. Thanks.
