help: mac screen video capture? Can't Post

We are trying to capture screen video to create some photoshop tips. We don't want to use a video camera we just want to capture directly from the screen and end up eventually with a quicktime movie. I know of software for Windows but can't find any for the mac, and ideas?

Do you need just a still image of your screen? You can use snapz pro or you can just try using apple-shift-4 to get a cursor to grab any image on your screen. It will be saved as a pict and then you can import that into movie player(supplied with Quicktime) good luck

Check out Snaps Pro 2 at http://www.ambrosiasw.com/
It's awsome and It's shareware. You can try the full version and see if you like it.
It captures everything - stills, movies, sound, everything. It also lets you save things in a wide variety of formats.
What I really like is that I can frame and capture an mpeg and convert it into a quicktime movie.
Check it out, you'll love it.
