Booked my first Promotional Video!!! Can't Post
Ok well, its a non paying job, but will give me an opportunity to put into practice the skills that Hal has outlined in the Professional Video Producer course. I will be meeting with her next week to discuss the goal and the vision, walking through the scenes (she says she already has a script so I will be able to build from that), then I will come back and create a production script.

I am looking forward to this and this might be the break I was looking for.

A couple of weeks ago I met with an event coordinator at one of the venues where I shot a wedding a couple of years ago. I have been setting these meetings up over the past couple of months just to get my name out there, drop off a demo and introduce myself. During the meetings I mention that I would be happy to come out and produce a promotional video of the place for free. This particular person was very interested and she called me back and setup a meeting for next week. Details will be discussed then but basically it is going to be a walk through with voice over narration and talking heads. Probably no more than maybe 5 minutes long and will be distributed to potential customers around the country who call about renting the place but cannot come by to see it. Also, it may be on the website. All in all a very good opportunity for me to produce something and get a business video in my portfolio. I already have 1 training DVD so it is building.

It is on the production schedule... a very short promotional video... I am in the beginning stages, will begin to write the script this week.
