submitting idea for commercial Can't Post

Hello-
my company is going to do a commercial for a restaurant they just built. they are shopping it out to different companies and I'd like to submit my ideas as well. I'm wondering, since I've never done it, if there's a format for a storyline or anything like that. including target audience etc.
any outline or tips would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

The script itself can be in one of two formats: two-column, with the video shots in one column and the associated audio in the other, or single-column like the script of a play. Hal has some scriptwriting software for sale here that can help you.

The actual pitch will probably involve storyboards, to better illustrate your visual concepts.
