Most of the deals online that offer all of the extra stuff are basically just selling you the camera. Most of the lenses that they say are a "$300 value" are actually available for under $75 a piece, and word is that most of them are worthless in quality. I have even seen some of the polarized filters advertised that have used OTHER COMPANIES' sample photos to show what "their" filter can do, when their filter doesn't do near the job that the image indicates. Most telephoto lenses and wide angle lenses advertised in these cheap packages are next to worthless. The tripods are actually (if you look them up) about the same as the $20-$30 tripod that you get at the local store. As far as this site goes: The only thing they really offer is the case, tripod, and cleaning system. Most of the cases with these things are about $15, and I bought a lense cleaning "system" for under $10 at the local store. The $149 value is probably comparable ot a $50 in true life, although I can't vouch for it. However, it is not a bad price for the camera. I would also be sure that the original documentation comes with it, in the original box, with all of the UPC codes on it. At times companies will cut the UPC code off of the box (proof of purchase) and send it in when Sony offers rebates on the cameras, so YOU don't get the rebate, and you don't actually have a proof-of-purchase with the device...just a receipt which isn't good for many rebates. I have heard of photo-copied manuals as well. Again, I don't know anything in particular about this company, but you may want to check into some of these possible pitfalls. -Postal __________________________ PD-170, Dual athlon 2200+, 1gig ram,, Vegas, Combustion, Photoshop, dual monitor (ashamed of the video card, so I won't mention it), Samson wireless, and a couple of one-chippers (sony) just for the heck of it. - And an IRIVER
