I bought a Dig8 in May of 98'. That's only a few months after Sony introduced the Dig8 format. It is starting to show its age; getting stiff and the menue wont sit still and the picture is starting to change colors. I know that I need a new camera and am looking at the new line of HD. But, in the mean time I was hoping to replace my Dig8 for a new one. Except that I am discovering that my TRV-103 model is a proconsumer version compared to these other TRV models. I like that my Dig8 has both firewire and USB. I like that I have input and output for A/V. I like that I have external mic and headphone options. I like that I have a shoe. There's so much that I like about the TRV-103 that I wish I could find another one brand new. Is there any Dig8 models out there that has all the features or more then my 8 year old original?
