Don't think I've ever heard of a "driver" for a camcorder: what are you trying to do that makes you think you need a driver? This is a DV camcorder (Digital 8 is true DV) and to use it with a computer you need a Firewire connection (also known as iLink or IEEE 1394), and software that can capture DV. You will also need DV codecs (compression/decompresssion software) on your computer but typically that's installed when you install the capture/edit software and/or when you install a Firewire card.
Beyond that there is no camcorder-specific software that needs to be installed (and probably never will be unless Microsoft starts making camcorders.)

No need for a driver. Just get a fire wire card. and plug the cable that comes to it to your cam then "WaLa". I'm running windows xp and I have the same cam with no problem @ all and no sofware driver needed.
