vegas pro 9 effects Can't Post

I have noticed looking at wedding video's on the web and some video's on videographers websites, that lots of videographers like using slow motion and using a "misty" hazy effect on shot of the bride etc. I looked at my Vegas pro 9 effects and did not quite find one that gives me that same effect. I know how to do the slow motion, but has anybody got some suggestions.

Thanks

I would first take a look at the new effects that were included in Vegas Pro 9.

You can create a poor man's glow by duplicating the layer, adding brightness and contrast, a little bit of blur then making it's opacity 50 percent.

I can't imagine software that didn't have a soft focus or a diffusion. These are two filming tricks that I'm sure most producers would rather do in post.

Trust me you don't want that- it's so 1992. Unsure

There are some effects that you can use to achieve the misty look.
I tend to color correct/grade my footage first and then add a glow filter, which softens and pops the whites. This gives a soft misty effect, and works great for times when you have over exposed shots that you can't help, like bright windows behind your subject.

Keep in ind to achieve certain looks sometimes, you very well might use 2-3 filters in combination to get the desired effect you are going after.
Weather in FCP or Vegas, I tend to use at least 1-2 filters on a lot of my footage for grading purposes.
