Terry, does footage from this camera exhibit the rolling shutter/photo flash problem?

Hi Marshall,

Yes it does.

Here is a link to a reception shot with the EX1.
The photo session at the beginning of the clip in the church was shot with the HV30 with Twoneil adaptor, the rest was with the EX1 and maybe some HV30 shots sprinkled in.

Emily & Gavin Reception

This is a shortened version of their Ceremony.
The balcony camera from this ceremony was shot with the Canon A1.

Here is a Preceremony shot with the EX1 and FX1.

The image out of the EX1 is fabulous....we really don't notice the rolling shutter I guess now that we're used to it and certainly none of our clients have mentioned it.

let me know if you have anymore questions about it.

Unfortunately, that rolling shutter effect with the camera flashes still annoys me. Otherwise, the footage is beautiful as you say. With the flash-drunk photogs I usually encounter here in Phoenix, I'm really hesitant to go with the CMOS chips, unless there is a firmware fix like (I think) Panasonic was providing.
