Anyone get rebate from Panny HMC150 Can't Post

I got a notification about 2 weeks ago saying I never submitted the sales receipt for the HMC150 rebate (battery and 8gb card) which I did include because I triple checked. Since sending the paperwork back again...received nothing ):
Just wondering if any one else got the same bogus wrap or have you actually received the rebate?
I think it horse crap that Panasonic charges $3500 for a camera and includes a 15 minute battery.

It's actually a 90 minute battery.

As for rebates, I hate them. It's the rebate company's prerogative to find any way to deny the claim.

I ordered mine after 3-31, so the offer I got was for a memory card, I'll send it in, but I never really expect to get anything back with mail-in rebates.

Oh, yeah, a lot of rebates actually are scams. I'm talking rebates
here from well-known companies. Big Names we'd all recognize.
What the deal is is that the Big Name company doesn't actually
run the rebate. They hire a company that that's all they do is
administer rebate programs. And then what it is is that the hired
company is full of fraudsters and scammers.

I have personally seen it more than once in trying to get
rebates that it is an obvious scam. People feel safe in that they
"maintain copies of all my receipts and triple check all requirements"
blah, blah, blah. What they don't get is that, yes, you are on the
up and up BUT the persons you are dealing with are not. These
scammers know that people keep copies and so forth but they
still find ways to work around paying out legitimate claims.

It's to the point where if I'm comparing an item and the
"price after rebate" at Company A is less than the cash price from
Retailer B, I mostly will just go with the higher cash price from Retailer B
knowing that if/when the rebate doesn't go through, I will end up paying even more for the item than the straight-out cash price.

Actually got both rebates...thank you Panasonic. 3 weddings already in the can...but at least now I have a couple extra SD cards an extra large battery.
It worked ... they succeeded forcing to buy more stuff than I now need.

I bought 2 3.5 weeks apart. Rebate came six weeks ago for cam #1. Cam #2 no luck I have sent multiple emails with no response. If it doesn't arrive in a few days I will start phoning every day. I bought 3 days before the deadline, and I think they are hoping I'm going to go away.

Are you contacting Panasonic's broadcast sales department? That's where the 150 falls into, responsibility-wise. I'd expect them to behave more professionally than the consumer division.

Tim,
I got the rebate package today, I did not need to get in touch with your panasonic contact, but thanks so much for the info.

I guess my prior emails were forwarded to the rebate company even if I never got an acknowledgement at the time. I'm glad to have the extra big battery for cam #2, as I came close to running out of juice on a shoot last week. I wish they weren't so darn expensive or I'd have two or three per cam.

Thanks again. --Chris
