While VR technology is in its infancy, Oculus Story Studio pushes new frontiers with its latest movie called Henry. This ten-minute film is designed to showcase the VR platform. Oculus VT offers the Rift, a virtual reality head-mounted display which was originally funded by a Kickstarter campaign. It is scheduled to be released the first quarter of 2016. A developers kit is available now on Amazon. Many others including Google Cardboard are competing for the space.
The film premiered in Beverly Hills. Those who attended the invitation-only event could strap on a consumer versions of the Oculus Rift headset and be immersed in a 360-degree view of Henry’s world. Oculus VR is owned by Facebook. See the ten-minute Virtual Realty movie By Oculus.
